EventREEL – Cannes, Calgary, 1 Octopus | Pre-MIPCOM

Arriving a day and a half before the start of the largest TV/FILM Market in the world MIPCOM 2007 in Cannes, France – I managed to rest up and see Cannes from OUTSIDE the ‘Palais de Festivals’ where the Entertainment Industry wheels and deals for 4 days straight…
After running into a fellow Calgarian, Rob Hilton (cafe beano, baby!) at the Frankfurt Airport on the flight into Nice, to a sunrise walk where I was privy to the early morning fine art of Octopus HUNTING AND KILLING!!
, to , yes again seeking out that elusive internet connection that plagues my journeys… I did manage a swim in the ocean and a rest/sun bathe…

All in all – it’s too small of a town for what is about to happen! I have no idea how this beautiful ocean destination handles all these people!
Nursing the jet lag and the final legs of my sinus cold – I am not embarrassed to say I was in bed by 8:30pm… 34 years old and without a curfew – SLEEP is NOT overrated.
